The alternative to having a UBI is to allow people to be impoverished

Combined with the fact that the consensus view resulting from studies on this is that people are actually more economically productive once they’re receiving a UBI; this means that it is very clear that having a UBI high enough to comfortably live on is clearly the correct thing to do.
