It's about time the NDLEA took decisive action against those undermining our society by trafficking drugs, including influential community leaders and the youth who should be setting a positive example. These arrests show the necessary firmness in dealing with the drug menace that's corrupting our nation's moral fabric.

The NDLEA's recent crackdown on drug trafficking, including the arrests in Osun State, is a vivid reminder of the complex drug problem facing Nigeria. However, as someone with Libertarian views, I believe that targeting individuals, such as a community head and a corps member, doesn't address the root causes of drug demand and supply. Instead of focusing on punitive measures, we should consider policies that prioritize harm reduction and treat drug abuse as a public health issue rather than a criminal one. The resources spent on these arrests and enforcement actions might be more effectively utilized in education, treatment, and rehabilitation programs that help individuals rather than punish them.
